Outgoing president Eva Moore presented the 2010 award to State Assemblyman Fred Thiele Jr at the annual Spring Brunch on April 17, 2011. The presentation of the Award, usually made in December at the holiday party, was postponed due to a change in Mr. Thiele’s schedule. “In keeping with the regular tempo of the state assembly,” Mr. Thiele quipped, “I’m late in picking up this award.” However, Mr. Thiele was quick to point out that this year, “The budget was passed on time.”
